The project brief was to create a lighting system for a bike that will improve the riding experience for users. I decided that my target would be college students and young adults.

David often bikes at night going to and coming from hanging out with friends. While he’s biking to his friend's place, he is called out by a police officer for having his flashing light mode on. He says it’s distracting for other drivers, but it’s the only way drivers see him. He goes on his way only for a car to cut him off later while making a turn. When he comes out of his friend's apartment, he remember he forgot to take his light with him and notices that someone has stolen it.

Hannah often has to ride back home in the dark after being out all day. While she’s riding, a number of cars get too close for comfort because they can’t see her and they’re driving too fast. When she turns onto an unlit side road, she can’t see and hits a pothole. All of her art supplies spills over the road and she hopes a car won’t speed by while she picks it up. The next night, her battery dies while she's biking home and she can't ride at night until she buys a new one.
